The fourth round of dialogue between Islam and Hinduism, organized by the Culture House of the Islamic Republic of Iran in New Delhi, was attended by a delegation of Iranian scholars and intellectuals at the Vivekananda International Foundation (VIF) in New Delhi.

This dialogue, which began on Wednesday, 4th December (14th of Azar in the Iranian calendar), featured speakers who discussed the importance of interfaith dialogue and the critical role of religious leaders in addressing modern challenges. They emphasized the significance of dialogue between Islam and Hinduism and analyzed the reasons for the lack of such meetings in the past century.

The Vivekananda International Foundation (VIF) hosted the high-ranking delegation from the Islamic Republic of Iran, facilitating meaningful exchanges between experts from both countries.

The Iranian guests expressed their appreciation for India's cultural and religious diversity, acknowledging the philosophy and civilizational values of the country. They also emphasized the need to preserve the tradition of peaceful coexistence in this vast land.

Indian speakers, in turn, highlighted the historical, cultural, and philosophical commonalities between India and Iran, referencing the roots of Sanskrit and Persian languages.

The speakers further stated that interfaith dialogue represents a shared interaction between individuals of different religions, sects, or spiritual beliefs. They emphasized that the shared goal is to promote understanding and acceptance among various religions, and this ongoing interactive process can help reduce religious tensions and promote a peaceful society to the world.
