In commemoration of the martyrdom of Ayatollah Raisi, the President, and Dr Hossein Amirabdollahian, the Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran, along with their accompanying delegation who were martyred in the helicopter crash, a condolence book was opened on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday (May 21, 22, and 24) at the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in New Delhi.
On the first day of the condolence book opening, Mr Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, the honourable Minister of External Affairs of India, on behalf of the Indian government, signed the condolence book and expressed condolences and solidarity with the people and government of Iran.
Moreover, diplomats and representatives from over 70 countries, by attending the premises of our embassy in New Delhi, signed this condolence book and expressed solidarity with the Iranian nation and government.
In addition to diplomats and government officials, several Muslim scholars, university professors, economic activists, and media figures from India also signed the condolence book.
