On the occasion of the Persian Gulf Day the academic symposium was held in New Delhi

The academic symposium titled History Political Geography and Tourism Capacities of the Persian Gulf was held at Iran Culture House in New Delhi.

On the occasion of the National Day of the Persian Gulf, an academic symposium entitled "History, political geography and tourism capacities of the Persian Gulf" was held with the participation of a group of professors, students and those interested in the history and culture of Iran.

In this symposium, DrIrajElahi, the ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran in India, in a speech referring to the historical importance of the Persian Gulf region, stated: based on the oldest historical documents and maps the name of this bay has always been the "Persian Gulf". "The United Nations has registered the name of this sea as "Persian Gulf" in a resolution" Iran ambassador said.

Prof. AnisurRehman, head of the Department of West Asian Studies of National Islamic University of Delhi, Dr. Asif Nawaz, researcher of International Studies Institute of Hamdard Society of India gave a speech in this conference.

Also, Dr. Behzadi from Tehran University, Dr. Chavari, Professor of Shiraz University and director of the world heritage site of Persepolis gave a virtual speech in this conference.
