Meeting between the President of Iran and the President of India

Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian President of the Islamic Republic of Iran met with Ms. Droupadi Murmu President of India on the sidelines of the 18th BRICS Summit in India.

During the meeting, held on September 12, 2026, at Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi, the two sides discussed the longstanding and friendly relations between Iran and India, the expansion of bilateral cooperation, cultural and people-to-people ties, as well as regional and international developments. President Murmu emphasized India’s commitment to lasting peace in the region and the resolution of disputes through dialogue and diplomacy.
