The 45th anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution of Iran was celebrated in New Delhi.

The ceremony of the National Day of the Islamic Republic of Iran was held with the large presence of foreign diplomatic missions and Indian officials and personalities.

The 45th anniversary of the glorious victory of the Islamic Revolution of Iran was celebrated on Friday, February 9, 2024 at the Shangri-La Hotel in New Delhi.

In this ceremony, which was held with the presence of ambassadors and foreign diplomatic missions, local officials, political, scientific and cultural figures of India, economic activists and also a group of Iranians, Mr. ShripadNaik, Minister of State for Ports, Shipping and waterways, of Government of the Republic of India was present as a special guest.

His ExcellancyIrajElahi, the honorable ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran in New Delhi, in his speech refers to the great achievements of the Islamic Republic of Iran in various fields. He said Islamic Republic of Iran has an important and central role in stability and security in the West Asian region. The Islamic Republic of Iran is proud to have lost one of its national heroes in the fight against terrorism, and the world will never forget the assassination of General Soleimani by terrorist forces in Iraq, he added.

Ambassador of Iran refers to the good relations between Iran and India in the economic and political fields, and said the valuable action of the Indian government in recognizing the Persian language as one of the 9 official languages in the educational policy of India deserves appreciation and respect.

Mr. ShripadNaik, the Deputy Minister of Ports, Shipping and Maritime Affairs of India also emphasized the efforts of the Indian government to develop relations with Iran, referring to the cooperation between Iran and India in various fields.
